DJ SIX GRAMS is a Nashville-based DJ with over three decades of experience, first hosting a radio show in high school in Western MA in the early 90s and then buying his first Technics SL-1200 turntables to host live student dance events while a college undergrad in Boston just a few years later. He moved to NYC in 2001 to be closer to the underground hip-hop music scene he fell in love with during the 90s. In 2018, he graduated from NYC’s Scratch DJ Academy, one of the leading music schools in the U.S. The one-year program—spanning eight levels and over 50 weekly classes with in-person instructors in a tight, collaborative setting—advanced his skills in mixing, scratching, beat juggling, music theory, and DAW/MIDI production (Pro Tools + Ableton). It also gave him the opportunity to participate in competitive DJ battles across the country. Today, DJ SIX GRAMS focuses on highly-curated music for select in-store events across the greater Nashville area, specializing in boutique store openings and the underground fashion culture. He is the founder of Plus the Wallabees, the legal entity that supports all music events and production in the area.
